HARVARD SECONDARY SCHOOL  PROGRAM- 7 WEEK

EARNED 4 CREDIT POINTS   (Summer 2021)

Every Monday and Wednesday 3 hour sessions with Professor John Komlos. Attempted 15 Quizzes and written a book review on "The Shifts and The Shocks" by Martin Wolf as part of assignments. Also, I read the books, "Manias, Panics and Crashes - A History of Financial Crises" by  Charles P. Kindleberger and "Foundation of Real-World Economics"  by John Komlos.

This Secondary Summer School Program has offered me a new perspective about the significant difference between 'Mainstream/Theoretical Economics' and 'Humanitarian/Behavioral Economics.' Professor J. Komlos and the Kindleberger-Minsky Model have impacted my thinking process about the development of a bubble and how unpredictable these 'Black Swans' can be.
Ps: Black Swans is a metaphor for The Unkown of Unknown.
I haven't been more excited to learn ever before. I learned a lot by networking with my classmates, who are from different stages of life- high school, undergraduate, graduates, and working professionals.

FOUNDATION FOR TEACHING ECONOMICS - Summer 2021

ECONOMICS FOR LEADERS COURSE- RICE UNIVERSITY COHORT

It was an exceptional selective study program that covered all the areas of foundational economics. This one-week program with Rice University took place from 14th June to 18th June 2021. Apart from core economics, it also lay great emphasis on leadership as a life skill.
Professor John Brock and Professor Anne Bradley taught us the most basic concepts, like Scarcity, to some of the most technical ones, like International Markets. Discussing hyperinflation and its possible solutions was one of the most insightful discussions I had in a while.
Additionally, EFL wasn't about theory, but experiential learning, where games formed the foundation of complex concepts.
Thomas Woodbury, Mikayla Angel, and Aliya Jackson were our mentors for the leadership sessions. These sessions were filled with interaction and introspection about our values and team behavior.

DELHI WARWICK SUMMER SCHOOL 2019

Ansh Gupta Delhi Warwick Summer School cert

In the summer of 2019, I joined Delhi Warwick Summer School and gained insight into "Introduction to Economics with Finance". Professor Abhinay Muthoo, Dean of Warwick in London, gave me top-quality teaching and increased my interest in economics and finance to a great extent. Also, I learned invaluable soft skills under Personal development sessions by Dr. Bo Kelestyn. This program was for class 11 and above but seeing my keen interest in Economics, Anuradha Puri Ma'am, and The British School, New Delhi gave me special permission to attend this program, making me the youngest student to attend this program. I had the perfect educational experience.

In the winter of class, 9, I participated in a leadership workshop organized by The Big Red Group in association with students of HARVARD University.

This program was named, “Youth Lead the Change Workshop”. In this program, I learned about leadership skills, effective communication skills with the team, and public speaking. We were taught that standing out of the crowd can make you outstanding.

Also, we worked on a social change program. My team and I choose the topic of Drug Awareness. For that, we gave a presentation on stage and created an Instagram account to spread awareness for the same.
